If you are interested in taking one of our classes, we strongly suggest that you attend the Open Forge prior to taking your course. Come and meet the guys, take in the environment, get a feel for the metal and the heat, learn safety, etc.
* If you cannot make it to an Open Forge but are still interested in getting started, please check out our AirBnB option! This class caters to Beginners, as it teaches the basic skills you’ll need to start forging on your own!

YOUTH BLACKSMITHING WORKSHOP
When: November 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
We will start with a short safety in the smithy course. Then we will begin forging using a propane forge, starting with the basics; tapers, twists, bending. We will then incorporate these skills into making useful projects to take home!
For those who cannot make it to the evening classes, we are offering a Black Friday Deal! On Black Friday ONLY – your youth can come experience the forge for a day for just $175!!

FRIDAY NIGHT DAMASCUS WORKSHOP
When: December 13, 2019
Learn the very basics of forging a simple Damascus billet.
The billets will be preassembled so we’ll be able to dive right into forging!
FOLD FORMING & PATINA WORKSHOP
When: January 17-19, 2020
Instructed by Pat Downing, one of the few experts in these techniques!
Pat will first teach fold forming, a process of transforming flat sheets of metal into three dimensional sculpture, and then how to use both grown and commercial patinas and combinations of patinas to create spectacular finishes on these fold formed pieces.
EXPLORING BLACKSMITHING CLASSES

These are quick courses, held on Thursday evenings from 5:30PM-9PM.
When: November 8-11, 2019
This is a Liner Lock Folder Workshop instructed by Master Smith Bill Burke!
Note: Mono steel will be provided – but if you want to use Damascus, it must be already forged, sized, & ready to start making the blade and fittings.
When: November 30 – December 1, 2019
The purpose of this class is to learn proficiency in mig welding.
Each participant will leave with a pair of dice and a pillow that they fabricated themselves.
CHEF KNIFE WORKSHOP
When: December 28-29, 2019
You will forge am 8-inch blade from 1084 and then you will go through the processes of forging, grinding, heat treating, and handling the blade.
Learn how to forge and construct a chef knife and refine your grinding skills!
Additionally, we offer an AirBNB experience that will teach beginners the basics of blacksmithing with a small class emphasis.
